ICC World Cup 2011 mascot ‘Stumpy’

Stumpy, the ICC World Cup 2011 mascot was unveiled in Sri Lanka. Stumpy is the name of the elephant chosen as mascot for the ICC World Cup 2011. Stumpy the mascot was revealed on Monday, August 02, 2010, in Colombo, the Sri Lankan capital.
The mascot’s name has been revealed in a formal yet simple ceremony at the Saravanamuttu Stadium, Colombo where India and Sri Lanka were scheduled to play the decisive third Test.
Stumpy was unveiled in the presence of star cricketers MS Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar, Kumara Sangakkara, Dilshan and Mahela Jayawardena as well as a real elephant (as a representative of the mascot).
ICC said that the mascot’s name was finalized after an online voting from cricket fans all over the worldStumpy was represented by a real life elephant at the launch in ColomboEarn upto Rs. 9,000 pm checking Emails. Join now!
